This short film was created as a self-directed visual narrative experiment, developed from an original story and storyboard through final cinematic execution. I designed the character, costuming, and environment from the ground up, with the goal of treating the piece less as a technical demo and more as a composed visual poem.
My focus throughout was on art direction and visual cohesion: silhouette, spatial rhythm, tonal contrast, and how costume, architecture, camera movement, and lighting work together to support mood and meaning. Every shot was composed deliberately, with camera motion functioning as punctuation and cadence rather than spectacle. I approached the piece the way I approach concept work; thinking in terms of relationships, symbolism, and emotional clarity rather than isolated assets.
Although the project was executed in Unreal Engine, the engine itself was a tool rather than the point. I rapidly learned and integrated multiple pipelines as needed, making selective, purpose-driven decisions about detail, framing, and lighting to achieve a cohesive result. The emphasis was always on making the whole feel intentional, even when working with a mix of custom and adapted elements.
This project reflects how I work as an artist and designer: synthesizing story, form, and atmosphere into a unified visual language, and adapting quickly to new tools in service of a clear creative vision.

The temporary soundtrack I'm using is a clip from Recuerdos de Luna by Nathan Youngblood & Soriah.
